Pick the Building tool from the left tray and drag a rectangle to set the footprint of your home. Draw as many sections as you like — each one adds to the footprint, so overlapping rectangles join into custom shapes.
Tip: in a hurry? The Building Shape presets — Rect, L, T, U — drop in a ready-made footprint. They replace the whole building, so use them as a starting point before you draw.
Switch to the Room tool and drag inside the building outline to create each room. Click any room to rename it, resize it with the handles, or set a ceiling height.
Tip: use Hallway for circulation between rooms.
Use the Door, Ext. Door, Garage Door, and Window tools to add openings. Each can be flipped, rotated, and resized after placement.
Tip: drag a door's hinge with the Flip Hinge button in its properties.
Drag furniture onto your plan from the tray sections — Living & Dining, Bedroom, Bathroom, Kitchen, Stairs, and Vehicles & Outdoor. Each piece can be moved, rotated, and resized.
Tip: right-click any item for duplicate, rotate, resize, and align options.
Use Dim. for a single measurement, or Chain to click a run of points along a wall and get a whole row of dimensions at once. The Text tool adds labels and notes.
Tip: hold Shift while dragging a dimension endpoint to keep the line perfectly straight.
Everything lives under the File menu — Save, Share a read-only link, Export (JSON / SVG / PNG), and Print. Sign in to keep a library of designs that follows you between devices.
Tip: try View → Style to switch between the clean Draft look and the warmer Rich one. Ctrl+Z undoes any mistake.
No paywalls, no ads, no account required to start. If it saves you time or makes planning your home more fun, a small tip helps keep it running — but it's entirely optional.
